Tarrant Churches Together has a long history in our faith community. This position is essential for the growth of our organization. The candidate selected will gain meaningful nonprofit experience related to:  inter-personal professional communication, nonprofit funding, event management, and technology-related project management.

 

  1. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

There are four main focus area for this position:

  1. Social Media/ Website Project

    1. Implement a social media plan

    2. Update existing website to become more user-friendly

  2. Funding Prospect Research

    1. Navigation of funding database and research for potential grant funding

  3. Program/Event Support

    1. Logistical support for two+ agency events

  4. Non Profit Management Shadowing

    1. Attend community/organizational meetings to gain experience in community work

    2. Draft meeting agendas as assigned

 

  1. Qualifications

  • Creative self-starter with a passion for ministry, ecumenical and interfaith initiatives.

  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program or experience in the 4 main focus areas.

  • Experience with website maintenance and social media platforms

  • Detail oriented with strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to work independently and in collaboration with the team

  • Be flexible and willing to take on other tasks

  • Utilize your own laptop computer

  • Comfortable working in a shared space environment

  • Available 15-20 hours per week via work from home and office once a month.

Office Assistant

Office Assistant Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and responsible office assistant to join our growing organization. In this position, you will perform clerical tasks, answer phones, and sort mail. Other duties will include assisting office managers and executives with preparing documents, organizing files, managing existing documents, and generally keeping the office organized, tidy, and running smoothly.

Office Assistant Duties and Responsibilities

  • Answer phone inquiries, direct calls and provide basic company information

  • Perform clerical duties, take memos, maintain files, and organize documents; photocopy, fax, etc. as needed

  • Assist in planning company events, meetings, luncheons, and employee team building activities or special projects

  • Help prepare reports, presentations, and data

  • Manage and maintain files, records, and correspondence for meetings

  • Type documents, drafts, and reports

  • Arrange schedules for meeting space and conference rooms

  • Assist with travel and expense reports

  • Update staff calendars and organize schedules

  • Prepare information and research for executive needs

  • Oversee mail deliveries, packages, and couriers

  • Purchase, track, and invoice office supplies for each department

  • Set up, break down, organize, and maintain conference rooms, training rooms, and meeting rooms

  • Arrange itineraries and executive correspondence

  •  

Office Assistant Requirements and Qualifications

 

  • Creative self-starter with a passion for ministry, ecumenical and interfaith initiatives.

  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred

  • Prior experience handling office responsibilities, experience in customer service, or related field

  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel); scheduling appointments/updating calendars

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Highly organized multitasker who works well in a fast-paced environment

  • Willingness to learn and to grow with the company

  • Be flexible and willing to take on other tasks

  • Utilize your own laptop computer

  • Comfortable working in a shared space environment

  • Available 15-20 hours per week via work from home and office once a month. After COVID-19 two days a week Monday & Wednesday or Tuesday and Thursday.
